Job summary

Lamprey Health Care is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant who wants to advance to a Medical Assistant through a paid training program. The program runs 4 to 7 months with daytime work and after-hours coursework; Lamprey Health Care will pay tuition.

Successful completion requires passing a final exam and competency demonstration. The role requires up to 40 hours per week on-the-job training and online coursework during nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nursing Assistant in good standing.
• Willing to train to become a Medical Assistant.
• Commitment to up to 40 hours/week on-the-job training.
• Willingness to complete online coursework after hours.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and demonstrates teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam/treatment rooms and maintain timely visits.
• Take pre- and post-procedure vitals as required.
• Stock rooms and manage supply levels; dispose of contaminated supplies properly.
• Answer phones, schedule tests, arrange referrals, and document requests while preserving confidentiality.
• Document clinical procedures in the EHR according to LHC standards.
• Demonstrate professional communication and teamwork.
