Schedule Details: Monday through Friday

Scheduled Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the Medical Assistant II provides clinical care and clerical support to facilitate office/clinic operations. The role includes receiving workplace education and training to assist providers and the healthcare team in patient care.

$3000 SIGN-ON BONUS

I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Escort patients to examination rooms, record vital signs, and document patient health status, history, and progress following standard procedures.
2. Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care (POC) tests according to clinic standards.
3. Prepare, document, and administer non-intravenous injections as directed, within scope of practice.
4. Assist in routine physical examinations and clinical procedures.
5. Review laboratory results and promptly inform physicians of abnormal findings.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current BLS or Heart Saver certification from the American Heart Association (must be obtained within 3 months if not available at hire)
• Medical Assistant credential approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health (must be obtained within 1 year of hire)

Medical Assistant II Certification: Must already hold the Medical Assistant certification or registration prior to start date.
