Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Cadillac, MI, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a part-time, on-site role (20 hours per week). You will support providers, perform clinical and administrative tasks, and help ensure a smooth daily operation in the clinic.

The position offers a sign-on bonus of $4,500 and requires either credentialed or non-credentialed paths, with BLS preferred. You will assist with patient intake, measurements, documentation, and day-to-day clinic tasks.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Medical Assistant per Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical and administrative tasks in the clinic alongside the provider.
• Be the first point of patient care; room and prepare patients per clinic checklists.
• Measure weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse, and BP.
• Complete patient care documentation including histories and referrals.
• Assist with day-to-day operations to support optimal patient care.

Job Description

A Day inthe Life

• As a Medical Assistant, you willcomplete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic. You willwork alongside the provider tomake sure our patients are taken care of, and the clinic runs smoothly!

You will be the first point of patient care within the clinic. You will room and prepare patients according to clinic specific checklists or procedures.You will measurepatient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other patient care which can vary based on clinic.

You will completerequired patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc.

You will assistwith day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care which can include assisting fellow teammates and providers when necessary.

Qualifications

What’s Required

CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.

NON-CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
• One year (1) relevant experience working in a physician practice or similar healthcare setting in a provider/patient support or Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program approved by Munson healthcare.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
