Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant at the Saint Francis Cancer Center Physician Clinic - Yale Campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role supports providers with examinations, procedures and care coordination to ensure efficient patient flow and satisfaction.

You will perform venipuncture, administer medications as directed, document data in the EMR and help coordinate tests and referrals. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and completed a Medical Assistant program;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with completion of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• 1 year of related clinical patient care experience within the last 5 years preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communications; strong patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assesses general condition, records vital signs and histories.
• Records services and diagnoses for encounter forms and related documents.
• Assists providers with examinations, procedures and treatments per protocols.
• Performs ancillary services including venipuncture and x-rays per protocol.
• Maintains medical records and coordinates care through calls, scheduling and refills.
• Utilizes EMR and tracks tests, procedures and referrals per policy.
• Administers medications as directed and verifies authorizations for services.
• Promotes patient wellness through education and participates in quality initiatives.
