Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, MD, is hiring a Medical Assistant to room patients, obtain vitals, and document data in the EMR. The role includes assisting with procedures, chaperoning providers, and handling specimen transport and room preparation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic experience; CPR is preferred. This on-site role offers a $1500 sign-on bonus for select positions and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vitals.
• Enter patient information into EMR.
• Set up and assist with office procedures.
• Chaperone providers during examinations.
• Take pre-op and post-op photos.
• Maintain surgical instruments and transport to CSS.
• Process surgical specimens and send to Pathology.
• Stock exam rooms and order supplies.
• Complete FMLA and Disability forms.
• Clean and reset exam rooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
