Unity Health Network, part of the UnitedHealth Group family, is seeking a Medical Assistant in Akron, Ohio. The role provides direct patient care, supports the care team, and assists physicians with procedures. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, on-site, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• National MA certification from NAHP/NCCT/AAMA/AMT/NHA or ability to obtain within 9 months.
• Preferred: MA program graduate, CPR/BLS, 1+ year experience.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates clinical competence in direct patient care and assists MDs with procedures.
• Performs routine clinical duties in compliance with department standards and protocols.
• Directs patients to exam rooms and supports efficient workflow.
• Prepares e-prescriptions for processing per physician instruction.
• Inspects and maintains instruments/equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
