Job summary

MainStreet Family Urgent Care is looking for energetic Medical Assistants in Alexander City to deliver top-notch patient care. Responsibilities include assisting providers, triaging patients, documenting vital signs, and more. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and is proficient in Microsoft Office. This role offers a rotating schedule of 4 days one week and 3 the next, with a starting pay of $15/hr and benefits including health insurance and a 401K.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in the care of patients.
• Triage patients promptly and in line with clinic procedures.
• Document vital signs, weight, and medical history.
• Perform lab tests in compliance with guidelines.
• Manage digital patient records.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments.
• Administer prescribed medications under supervision.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations.
• Position patients for x-rays.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory.

Skills
