Saint Mary’s Regional Health System in Russellville, AR is seeking a Registered Medical Assistant (OBGYN) to join Millard-Henry Clinic.

You will perform vital signs, patient history, prepare exam rooms, assist physicians, administer injections and basic lab tests, and help with scheduling and referrals.

The role requires CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, BLS, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, history, medication list; assess patient status.
• Document in medical record per policy.

• Maintain clean, safe environment; stock rooms and inventory.

Job Details

• Job Type: Full Time, Days Schedule: 8am – 5pm
• Required Licenses: CMA or RMA or CCMA via the AAMA or NHA

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment of patient needs and health plan by taking vital signs, history, medication listing, assessing visual acuity and determining chief complaint; assess patients’ physical and mental status.
• Complete all necessary documentation in the patient’s medical record in accordance with practice charting policy.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians with medical treatments, exams and procedures.
• Administer prescribed oral medications and provide intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections; perform venipunctures, CLIA‑waived and non‑CLIA‑waived lab testing.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and visitors; clean, sterilize, and store instruments in accordance with practice policies; stock rooms for daily schedule; take inventory of medical and exam room supplies.
• Comply with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary to protect against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, and other hazardous substances.
• Arrange specialized consultations and appointments for testing as ordered by physicians; notify appropriate insurance personnel to pre‑certify surgeries or tests that require pre‑certification by the insurance company.
• Answer office phones, assist front desk in scheduling appointments and directing calls appropriately.
• Assist in checking out patients and help them with referral processing and scheduling.
• Assist in other functions of the physician practice as needed.
