WakeMed is seeking a focused Medical Assistant to support physicians and care teams in delivering quality patient care. You will perform routine clinical tasks and assist with patient needs under physician direction.
Candidate must hold a current Registered Medical Assistant credential from AAMA, AMT, ARMA or NCCT and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience is not required; on-the-job training will be provided at WakeMed facilities.
Works interdependently with other medical professionals to provide quality health care to the patient. Provides direct patient care under the direction of a physician by performing specific services in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient. Understands the needs of the practice and supports the mission and values. The required certification must be one of the following: American Academy of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistants and the National Center for Competency Testing.
