AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Medical Assistant for a Regional Float Pool in the Commerce area.

This temporary role will support various ambulatory clinics within regulatory scope, with assignments fluctuating by need across Los Angeles or Orange County. The position requires a Medical Assistant diploma and at least 3 years of back-office experience, with English/Spanish bilingual ability preferred and a valid BLS certification.

Job Overview

The Regional Float Medical Assistant provides patient care support to various ambulatory clinics within their regulatory scope of practice. As a regional float, assignment locations will vary depending on business need and may be within either Los Angeles or Orange County. Assignments will vary in length and can range from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the reason for supplemental coverage.

Minimum Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Medical Assistant diploma required.
• A minimum of 3 years of back-office experience, preferred.
• Experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, and Urgent Care is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$26.00 - $30.55 hourly
