Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program.
• Preferred or graduate from a program pursuing CAAHEP or ABHES accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Register patient upon entrance to facility.
• Prepare equipment and rooms and aid physician with treatment.
• Perform vitals and prep patients.
• Rotate among clinical and non-clinical service areas (lab, x-ray, front office).
• Record treatment in the medical record and ensure proper documentation.
• Explain patient instructions to patient and family.
