Job summary

About The Department

Pulmonology is the specialty area of medicine that focuses specifically on the pulmonary system. The pulmonary system, also sometimes called the respiratory system, consists of the lungs, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, associated blood vessels, and all other components involved in and directly related to breathing and the process of respiration (gas exchange).

About The Career

Performs activities by direction of clinic physician and also functions as a receptionist for Pulmonology with clinical and non-clinical staff, patients, family and visitors. Maintains interdepartmental relations and coordinates interdepartmental communications. Participates in and completes departmental billing and reports as necessary.

• Graduate of an approved training program for Medical Assistants.
• Experience is preferred but may not be require. Orientation is based on previous knowledge and experience. Additional education/training in related field is considered on an individual basis. BLS upon hire.
