Job summary

Pulmonary Associates of Richmond is seeking three full-time Medical Assistants for our Richmond, VA area locations. The positions offer weekly pay and opportunities for growth in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include chart preparation, EMR data entry, taking vitals, documenting patient information, handling prescriptions and referrals, inventory management, scheduling, and patient communication. Minimum MA experience and certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year as Medical Assistant in a medical practice.
• CMA or CNA certification preferred.
• EMR experience required or preferred within 1 year.
• Vital signs competency and patient history documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prep charts, preload and scan into EMR; document patient activity.
• Obtain vitals, history, medications, and reason for visit.
• Document patient activity and manage prescriptions as needed.
• Process provider orders and scheduling; complete prior authorizations.
• Use inventory system to dispense and transfer inventory.
• Schedule new patients and explain policies and procedures.
• Send prescriptions and manage medication inventory.
• Provide injections and schedule testing.
