MainStreet Family Care in Fitzgerald, GA is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant (PRN) to join our team. You will support on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge, helping deliver timely urgent, primary, telemedicine, and occupational care.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and computer skills, a high school diploma, and a willingness to learn. Prior medical assisting experience is helpful but not required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in patient care to assure optimal delivery of medical care.
• Triage patients promptly and in line with clinic procedures to ensure smooth workflow.
• Document vital signs, weight, and updates to the patient’s medical history before each visit.
• Perform lab tests in compliance with clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
• Manage digital patient records and support transition to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for x-rays following provider directives.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering top‑notch care to our patients. We provide a range of services including urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. Responsibilities:

• Our Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Provider(s) in the care of patients to assure optimal delivery of medical care

Clinic Hours of Operation:

• MainStreet:
  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• KidsStreet:
  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

KidStreet Locations: Montgomery, Pelham, Gainesville, Mobile, Augusta, Tallahassee, Columbus, Valdosta, Savannah, Charlotte, Wake Forest, Greenville, Wilmington, and Winston‑S‑alem.

Rotating Schedule:

For our PRN positions, flexibility with scheduling is essential! There may also be opportunities to travel to other clinics as needed.

• Week 1: Monday On, Tuesday On, Wednesday Off, Thursday Off, Friday On, Saturday On, Sunday On
• Week 2: Monday Off, Tuesday Off, Wednesday On, Thursday On, Friday Off, Saturday Off, Sunday Off

Compensation:
