Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Cary, NC is seeking energetic Medical Assistants for a part-time PRN role. You will support on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge, while helping with triage, vitals, and documentation in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Flexibility with scheduling is essential for PRN assignments, with opportunities to travel to other clinics as needed. Prior MS/KSCLINICS hours and clinic workflows may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Medical assisting experience or education is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in the care of patients to assure optimal delivery of medical care.
• Triage patients promptly and in line with clinic procedures to ensure smooth workflow.
• Document vital signs, weight, and updates to patient medical history prior to each visit.
• Perform lab tests in compliance with clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
• Manage digital patient records and support transition to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for x-rays following provider directives.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.

We provide a range of services including urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will assist the on-site provider with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge.

Responsibilities

• Our Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Provider(s) in the care of patients to assure optimal delivery of medical care

  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m
