Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System Primary Clinics in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our provider team. This full-time role supports evaluation, management and delivery of patient care in a busy multi-specialty practice.

You will pre-visit plan, room patients, take vitals, draw blood when needed, administer injections, assist with procedures, and manage EMR documentation. Travel between clinic locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable medical assisting experience.
• CMA certification preferred but not required.
• Strong patient communication and frontline clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, establishing rapport and maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals.
• Phlebotomy as needed.
• Administer injections and coordinate vaccines.
• Assist providers with procedures.
• Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents.
• Complete administrative tasks such as prior authorizations, RX refills, etc.
• Conduct telephone screening (with protocols).
• Cover front office responsibilities as needed.
• Travel between Saint Luke’s Multispecialty clinic locations may be required.

Job Description

Saint Luke’s Health System Primary Clinics are looking for a Medical Assistant (CMA) to be an integral part of our provider team that delivers high quality patient-centered medical care to our community. This position is responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice. This position is located at the Mission Farms clinic in Overland Park, KS and is full time Monday-Friday, with no holidays.

• Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.
