The Gore Medical Group in Poway, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced primary care setting. This role encompasses both clinical tasks and administrative duties to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of primary care experience, strong EHR and MS Office skills, and excellent communication. This is a full-time, on-site position with an hourly wage based on experience.

Position Title: Medical Assistant

Location: 15708 Pomerado Road Suite 201 Poway, CA 92064

Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 8 AM to 5 PM

Employment Type:Full-Time

Hourly Range: $23 - $26 (based on experience)

About Us: The Gore Medical Group is a primary care clinic which would be providing care for primary care services to adolescent to geriatrics. Services will include preventative exams, chronic conditions management, simple office procedures, sports physical, sicks visits, women's health

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic patient care tasks, including taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of a licensed provider.
• Conduct routine diagnostic tests, including urine tests and simple swabs (e.g., flu and COVID-19).
• Contact patients for follow-ups, test results, appointment reminders, and other care coordination needs.
• Assist with prior authorization requests by gathering necessary documentation and communicating with insurance providers.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage medical records.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a medical assistant program with at least 1-2 years of primary care experience.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
