Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for its Physical Medicine and Rehab services. The role supports busy Neuroscience clinics across multiple sites, performing essential clinical and clerical duties under physician supervision.

The position offers full-time status with 36 hours per week, shifts Monday through Thursday and Friday short hours, with travel to off-site locations mandatory. Successful candidates may require phlebotomy and specimen collection capabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory for all candidates.
• CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for off-site duties and driving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs selected clinical tasks to support patient care, including preparing patients, collecting specimens, basic lab tests, and recording results.

Position Highlights

• Sign On Bonus: This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus. The first $500 will be paid on the pay date of the pay period in which you achieve your 6-month mark of employment. The remaining $500 will be paid on the pay date of the pay period in which you achieve your 1-year mark of employment, as long as you are still employed in this position at a 0.5 FTE or above.
• Position: Medical Assistant - Physical Medicine and Rehab
• Location: 1200 S York St, Elmhurst + 303 W Lake St, Addison + 8 Salt Creek Ln, Hinsdale + 130 S Main St, Lombard + 1100 Lake St, Oak Park
• Full Time 36 hours per week
• Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 to 9 hour shifts varying start times 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM, or 8:30 AM. Fridays are 5 hour shifts.

What You Will Do

• Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. MA supports very busy Neuroscience offices with multiple sites.

What You Will Need

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA , RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health Career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience - PREFERRED:
• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
• Flexible to scheduling changes including overtime, evening and Saturday rotation
• Prior work experience in a Neuroscience setting, highly preferred
• Bilingual Spanish, preferred
