Job summary

OrthoAlaska LLC's Primary Care Associates-Float position seeks a Medical Assistant to joining a patient‑centered, team‑based clinic in Alaska. You will support clinicians, room patients, record vital signs and PHI, and help with scheduling and administrative tasks.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining calm under pressure. A signing bonus is offered after 90 days of full‑time employment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CMA certification or LPN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers with patient care within the care-team model.
  • Room patients, take patient vitals and document PHI.
  • Assist in administrative areas including appointment scheduling and scanning.
  • Maintain appointment flow and organization.
  • Answer patient calls and follow up with patients.
  • Prepare environment for the next day clinic.

Primary Care Associates seeks a highly skilled, dedicated, and professional Medical Assistant to join our rapidly growing and dynamic team. Representative duties
  • Assist providers with patient care within the care-team model

Knowledge and skill requirements

  • Able to understand medical charts and diagnoses and coding for billing purposes
  • Able to maintain a calm demeanor when under pressure
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a variety of patient care teams
  • Skill in operating a personal computer using a variety of software applications and EHR
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred (in addition to required) qualifications
  • One (1) year of clinical experience - CMA certification OR
  • LPN certification plus two (2) years clinical experience
