Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner, delivering direct and indirect patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, documenting data, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

The MA works within their defined scope of practice, under supervision, and in alignment with Mercy's mission and standards of care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
• Certification: Active CMA/RMA/CCMA certification; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in the workflow of the clinic and the assessment of patient/significant other in a timely, consistent and systematic manner.
• Documents subjective and objective data according to policy.
• Demonstrates effective patient safety techniques and infection control.
• Works as part of the clinic team in an effective and efficient manner to accomplish daily objectives.
