Job summary

Chaparral Medical Group (CMG) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our Pomona Valley region clinics within the Akido Labs MSO structure. The role involves patient intake, vitals, and coordinating care across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities include assisting during exams, basic point-of-care tests, and guiding patients through care plans. This position emphasizes teamwork, punctuality, and a patient-centered approach in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Assistant certificate in California required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Basic office equipment and computer skills required.
  • A proven track record for punctual, collaborative and flexible team player.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vitals and initial patient intake.
  • Guide patients to exam rooms and prep them for physician, NP or PA visit.
  • Contribute to team development through rounding, team huddles, problem solving and supporting in-office providers.
  • Prepare for and assist during physician examinations.
  • Perform basic point of care tests and medication/vaccine administration when ordered by a provider (within MA scope).
  • Help patients understand their care plans and action items for best outcomes.
  • Assist with scheduling, referrals and other care coordination activities.
