CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to support clinicians by handling patient intake, scheduling, insurance verifications, and medical record preparation. You will assist during examinations, take vital signs, and ensure HIPAA and AIDET guidelines are followed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of medical office experience; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsabilités

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Obtains patients' records as pertinent to the visit.
• Performs intake to include vital signs and complete patient history information.
• Performs POCT procedures as trained.
• Maintains cleanliness of exam rooms and equipment.
• Orders medical supplies per clinical standards.
• Documents incidents per hospital policies.
• Ensures patient information is scanned and records are complete.
• Demonstrates competence to meet age-specific needs of patients.
• Transports patients as needed within the hospital.
• Performs administrative duties including scheduling appointments and insurance verification.
• Travels to various clinical locations as necessary.
