Job summary

CarolinaEast Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, manage scheduling and charting, and enhance the patient experience at our North Carolina clinics.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, handling clerical duties, and providing information to patients to maximize utilization of clinic services. A CMA certification and BLS are expected within specified timelines, with a sign-on bonus for qualifying full-time candidates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or one year of MA work experience in the last 3 years.
• Must obtain CMA certification within the first year of employment.
• Maintains BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and clerical tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them use clinic services.
• Convey a positive image of the clinic.
