Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs.
• Record patient interview history and chief complaint.
• Provide patient education on office policies, medications and home care.
• Assist physicians with exams and minor office procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.
• Perform phlebotomy when required and handle specimen collection.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and sterilization of instruments; adhere to OSHA standards.
• Document accurately and ethically at all times; may triage patient calls or review prescriptions.
