Job summary

Requirements include HS diploma or equivalent, graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and current MA certification; 1–3 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent; Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining and documenting vital signs and chief complaint.
• Performs phlebotomy and vaccines; conducts diagnostic tests (EKG, etc.) under physician supervision.
• Screens and directs patient calls per protocol; informs patients about prescriptions and test results under physician supervision.
• Performs daily regulatory testing and documents to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains par level of clinical supplies for the facility.
• Performs front desk duties including patient registration, billing, and appointment scheduling.
