Job summary

State of North Carolina is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. You will prepare for patient visits by organizing charts, assisting nurses and clinicians, and helping manage tests and lab reporting to ensure timely information for patient care.

You will also help manage medical supplies, set up equipment, and clean instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and an interest in a clinical environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification or CMA preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits by pulling charts and notes and setting up medical equipment.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use.
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, directing to appropriate care.
• Assist nurses and physicians with basic clinical tasks and patient care.
• Track lab results, relay information to patients, and manage basic office duties.
