Job summary

Responsibilities include direct patient interaction, vital signs, specimen collection, lab testing, medication assistance, and education on My Chart usage. Certification and BLS are preferred; prior clinic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent amount of working experience as a Medical Assistant.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Follows hospital policy regarding patient safety measures, infection prevention, and patient handling to ensure a safe environment.
• Provides direct interaction with patients in the clinic, including escorting to rooms, obtaining vitals, reviewing medications, allergies, history, and visit reason, and documenting in the chart.
