Job summary

Elk Ridge Community Health in Flagstaff, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. You will obtain vital signs, prepare specimens, administer injections, and assist providers.

Starting pay is $20.58 per hour, depending on qualifications. This role requires a Medical Assistant certificate, BLS, fingerprint clearance, valid driver's license, and the ability to work with bilingual patients (English/Spanish).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved program.
• Current BLS certification for health care providers.
• Level I fingerprint clearance card or apply within seven working days after starting.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and AZ insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gathers vital signs and completes the office visit form for physician review.
• Collects, prepares, and sends lab specimens for routine tests and records results.
• Administers injections and immunizations and instructs patients on follow-up procedures.
• Maintains stock in exam rooms and lab areas and documents usage for replenishment.
• Sets up and cleans medical equipment and prepares red bags for pickup.
• Provides a high level of customer service to patients and coworkers.
