Job summary

Stout Street Recuperative Care Center in Denver, CO is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a multi-disciplinary health care team. You will perform clinical tasks such as vitals, patient assessments, immunizations, specimen collection, and lab processing within NextGen and EPM systems.

You will maintain accurate documentation of visits, ensure HIPAA compliance, and collaborate closely with physicians, behavioral health providers, and nursing staff to optimize patient flow and care delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or prior related training or experience
• Certification in basic life support (CPR) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe delivery of patient care including vital signs and assessments
• Communicate clinic information to healthcare professionals as needed
• Maintain confidential professional environment
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
• Record vital signs and visits in NextGen accurately
• Register patients in EPM and check-in for appointments
• Perform immunizations per clinic protocol and document in CIIS
• Obtain specimens and perform basic lab tests and screenings
• Manage patient outreach for missed appointments and follow-ups
• Assist with billing submissions and health record maintenance
