Grace Health is a faith-based community health center seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support physicians with exams and procedures in a fast-paced setting. The role involves patient prep, vital signs, and entry of information into the EMR.

The ideal candidate will have a medical assistant program completion, a HS diploma or higher, and strong communication and computer skills to assist with immunizations, phlebotomy, and lab tasks while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognized medical assistant program.
• High school diploma and either significant on-the-job experience or certification as a medical assistant.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Computer skills and familiarity with office software.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in waiting area and escort to exam room.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for examination.
• Document medical histories in the EMR and update as needed.
• Prepare and assist with exams, ultrasounds, and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis, and other in-office tests.
• Prepare slides for urinalysis and microscopy.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and sanitized exam area.
• Assist with immunizations, injections, and vaccine administration.
• Answer phone triage and schedule appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow clinic policies.
