Qualifications

• Previous medical assistant experience required.
• Strong computer skills and fluency in EMR systems.
• Friendly personality that can connect with clients and staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to relate with sensitivity to a culturally diverse clientele.
• Availability to work Sundays and some evenings, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to treatment rooms in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
• Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
• Perform vitals: blood pressure, weight, temperature, and pulse and record inpatient chart.
• Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality by safeguarding medical records and accurately completing diagnostic and procedural coding.
• Upkeep of inventory and cleanliness of the exam rooms.
