Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Formal Medical Assistant training with externship (160 hours) required.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
• Basic computer skills and keyboarding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient to exam room and prepare for examination.
• Obtain vital signs and record in the EHR.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Prepare, administer and document medications as ordered, following the six rights.
• Maintain safety and compliance with healthcare standards.
