Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, Inc. in Westminster, MD, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. The role involves rooming patients, obtaining vitals, entering information into the EMR, and assisting with office procedures and exams.

We offer a $1500 sign-on bonus for select positions through December 31, 2026, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, PTO and tuition assistance. Education: high school diploma or GED; at least one year of MA or EMT-Paramedic experience;

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year experience as Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic preferred.
• CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vitals.
• Enter patient information into the EMR.
• Set up and assist with office procedures.
• Chaperone providers during patient examinations.
• Take pre-op and post-op photos as needed.
• Maintain and transport instruments to Central Sterile.
• Process surgical specimens and send to Pathology.
• Stock and tidy exam rooms.
• Order clinical supplies.
• Complete FMLA and Disability forms.
• Clean and reset exam rooms.
• Other duties as assigned.
