Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or willing to obtain by date of hire.
• 1+ years of experience working as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Delivers high-quality patient care through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic contact for examinations, treatments, monitoring, and prep for diagnostic tests.
• Collects and documents patient information including vital signs, complaints, medications, allergies, and care benefits.
• Assists physicians and nursing staff with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other patient care procedures.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policies.
• Documents all actions; handles calls and messages.
• Maintains EMR and paper-based documentation for all assessments and procedures.
• Prepares and cleans patient rooms and maintains infection control.
