Job summary

New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Medical Assistant in Holbrook, NY to support the frontline care team. You will manage patient intakes, collect specimens, record vitals, and prepare patients for examinations.

In this role you will assist physicians and staff, perform EKGs and point‑of‑care tests, and help with office procedures. A Medical Assistant Certificate and HS diploma are required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate and High School Diploma are required.
• Proficiency with an EMR system is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes and record information accurately.
• Collect lab specimens including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.
• Record patients' vital signs and prepare for examinations.
• Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
• Assist providers and staff in data entry and during visits.
• Perform EKGs and point‑of‑care testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
