Job summary

Boone Hospital Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for Columbia, MO at Nifong Medical Plaza. This full-time position runs Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. with no weekends or holidays and benefits from day 1.

The MA provides patient care under a licensed provider, aids in exams, and performs phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and related duties as outlined. Responsibilities include room preparation, vital signs, patient history, timely charting, triage calls, and preparing patients for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required/preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification and CPR are listed in qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares exam rooms for patients.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains charting in the patient’s record.
• Performs clinical skills such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present information to providers.
• Assists provider by preparing patients for exams, procedures and treatments.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
