Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a FT Medical Assistant to support outpatient services in Miami, OK. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of medical assistant experience; CMA/RMA preferred.

You will perform data entry, obtain vitals, and enter information into the Electronic Medical Record, while coordinating lab orders and referrals. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients with co-occurring disorders are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of medical assistant experience.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred.
• Must perform data entry and be proficient with Windows and Microsoft Applications.
• Ability to work with individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist consumers and other agencies by phone or in person.
• Perform data entry and gather data as directed.
• Obtain patient vitals and medical history.
• Enter information into the Electronic Medical Record.
• Order labs and diagnostic studies; make referrals.
• Assist with communication to Residential Care Facility owners.
• Coordinate with clinic receptionists on scheduling.
• Handle phlebotomy for patient lab needs.
• Assist with the medical team.
• Process benefits for eligibility.
