Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in Palm Beach County. The role involves multi-skilled support for physicians, including patient care management, and both administrative and clinical procedures.

The ideal candidate will graduate from an accredited MA program, possess or be pursuing BLS certification, and have experience in a medical office setting. Knowledge of Epic and strong organizational skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited MA program with one year in a medical office setting preferred.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience in medical assisting and patient care skills.
• Familiarity with exam, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and OSHA/ HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs and lab work.
• Prepare patients for examination.
• Enter lab and imaging orders under supervisor.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; label and complete lab requisitions (ICD/CPT).
• Update patient medical records and chart in the EHR (Epic).
• Schedule appointments and answer phones.
• Assist with prescription processing and ordering supplies.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control as per OSHA.
