Job summary

Corewell Health seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to support a Primary Care Family Medicine clinic. Under licensed supervision, you will assist with patient flow, basic clinical tasks and medication administration, while maintaining documentation and EHR integrity.

You will collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure quality care, patient safety and excellent service in a busy outpatient setting at the Niles site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program is required.
• CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/RMA/BLS certifications are required or equivalent.
• Preferred 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient and effective patient flow and prepares patients for visits.
• Performs administrative duties to ensure information is current.
• Assists providers with examinations, procedures and treatments as directed.
• Prepares, administers and documents medications as directed by the provider.
• Demonstrates commitment to patient safety, privacy and confidentiality.
