Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital's Ortho Multi Specialty Group. Under supervision, you will perform administrative and clinical tasks to aid in quality and compassionate care.

You will greet patients, obtain histories, take vitals, prepare for exams, and assist providers during procedures. A MA program with externship or 1 year clinical experience is required, plus BLS-C certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with clinical externship (160 hours) or 1 year clinical experience if externship not completed
• Current BLS-C certification by hire or by end orientation

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to the exam room
• Obtain medical histories
• Measure and record vital signs
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Assist the provider during examinations and procedures

Military trained medical personnel with 1 year clinical experience
