Job summary

Kintegra Health in Asheboro, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Clinical Services by taking medical histories, recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting the provider during visits. You will explain procedures and help coordinate patient flow.

This on-site, hourly position requires a High School Diploma or GED; 1 year of related work preferred (or on-the-job training).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of related work experience preferred or on-the-job training.
• RMA, CMA, or CCMA certification; BLS/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities within the MA scope of practice, including vital signs and patient education.
• Assist patients through the encounter process to minimize ambiguity.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient encounters required for job functions.
• Track and document closed loop communication with patients (labs, return calls, refills, etc.).
• Communicate with external and internal parties to facilitate continuity of care.
• Handle administrative duties such as telephones, greeting patients, scheduling, and records management.
• Promote patient teaching and care plan support; maintain HIPAA privacy at all times.
• Participate in staff meetings and complete annual competencies.
