  • Experience with medical records documentation (electronic or paper) with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Professional phone etiquette and clear verbal communication with patients, providers, staff.
  • Willingness to work 10-hour shifts on Monday and Wednesday (8:45 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.).

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients, document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
  • Perform blood draws, injections, and EKGs per orders and protocols.
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies, equipment, infection control standards.
  • Support providers during examinations and minor urgent care procedures.
  • Manage medical records with accurate and timely documentation.
  • Answer phones and route calls with professional etiquette.
  • Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times with front desk and staff.
  • Perform basic point-of-care testing and proper specimen handling.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, well-stocked clinical environment.
  • Follow clinic policies and safety requirements in urgent care setting.
  • Collaborate with the urgent care team to deliver patient-centered care during 10-hour shifts.
  • Will be required to cover front desk for part or all of a shift.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and standard precautions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood draws (phlebotomy), administer injections, and conduct EKGs in accordance with provider orders and clinical protocols
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for procedures, ensuring proper supplies, equipment, and infection control standards are maintained
  • Support providers during examinations and minor urgent care procedures by setting up instruments, assisting as needed, and providing patient support
  • Manage medical records, including accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatments, and test results
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries with professional phone etiquette, routing calls and messages appropriately
  • Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
  • Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times, including communicating with front desk, providers, and other staff regarding room availability and patient status
  • Perform basic diagnostic support such as point-of-care testing (as permitted) and ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and documentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment, including cleaning and restocking exam rooms between patients
  • Follow all clinic policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements to ensure patient and staff safety in the urgent care setting
  • Collaborate with the urgent care team to support a patient-centered, efficient, and compassionate care environment during 10-hour shifts
  • Will be required to cover front desk for part or all of a shift
  • Knowledge of basic infection control practices and standard precautions in a clinical environment
