Job summary

Adventist Health Castle in Kailua seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to provide non-invasive clinical support under licensed supervision. The role includes administering audiometry and vision tests, performing routine lab recall tasks, and reporting findings to physicians.

Certification as CMA/RMA with BLS is required, along with phlebotomy credentials where applicable. The successful candidate will contribute to patient care within a faith-based, nonprofit health system serving Hawaii

Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.

Education and Work Experience

• ~ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire.: Phlebotomy certificate: Facility Specific License/Certifications:
• ~ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
• Reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
