Job summary

Adventist Health Reedley is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform non-invasive, routine technical support under supervision of licensed clinicians. The role requires a CMA or RMA or equivalent, BLS certification, and readiness to perform venipuncture, audiometry, and vision screening in a clinic setting.

You will support exam rooms, manage recalls, and ensure accurate vital signs and patient records. This is a full‑time, on‑site position in Corcoran, CA with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS Health Care Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.

Job Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required

Licenses/Certifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or have a certificate from CHDP within six months of hire.: Preferred
• Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred

Essential Functions

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
• Obtains vital signs. Reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
• Performs venipunctures as ordered.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
