Job summary

Mammoth Hospital in the ambulatory clinic setting is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a collaborative care team. You will support clinicians, transport patients, and document vital signs while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will work across pediatrics to geriatrics under supervision, perform duties within your scope, and help prepare patients for lab and imaging procedures. This position is full-time with varied day shifts and a starting wage in the posted range.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate the clinician's needs and carry out orders.
• Check EHR for patients' arrival status and escort patients from waiting area to exam rooms.
• Obtain, record, and report vital signs and any other pertinent patient information for the RN, LVN, or clinician.
• Assist clinician with procedures.
• Maintain and clean exam/treatment areas, specimen processing areas, and medical equipment.
• Instruct patient on lab, radiology, and other procedure/testing preparations.

Job description

The Medical Assistant (MA) is part of a team concept for the delivery of patient care in the ambulatory clinic setting with an emphasis on disease prevention and health maintenance. This individual will work closely with the clinical staff, front desk personnel and other related departments. MA's assist in caring for the patient from a variety of ages ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, under the direction of physicians, mid-level providers, and nursing staff. MA is responsible for performing assigned duties within his/her capabilities and scope of practice. As part of a health care team, they must be able to follow directions and work under close supervision.

What You'll Do:
