Job summary

Premier Health Physician Companies is seeking a Medical Assistant to support busy urgent care operations. The role involves general patient care, rooming, vitals, injections, EKGs, and-lab work under supervision. You’ll contribute to patient experience by delivering consistent, precise care.

Preferred candidates have CMA or MA training, ambulatory experience, and EPIC EMR familiarity, with CPR certification within 3 months. Strong documentation and HIPAA knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from Medical Assistant program and/or CMA certification.
• Ambulatory health care experience preferred.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management/physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and service standards.
• CPR certified within first 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA law.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect vitals; perform procedures as assigned.
• Administer injections, EKGs, and breathing treatments.
• Conduct lab testing, dressing changes, wound care, hearing/vision tests.
• Document thoroughly and ensure accurate records.

Premier Health Urgent Care (MA or LPN)FT / 72 hours per pay periodSummary of PositionA Medical Assistant for the Premier Health Physician Companies will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers. Our Medical Assistant are an integral part of our offices, and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best in Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.Nature and ScopeIndependently performed procedures may include, but is not limited to, rooming patients and collecting vitals, pulmonary function tests, administration of injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills will be an ongoing expectation.Qualifications1. High School diploma or equivalent certificate2.
