Job summary

Hand and Reconstructive Surgeons & Associates, part of Premier Physician Network, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. The role involves seeing upwards of 30 patients per day and assisting physicians.

You will room patients, take vitals, perform EKGs, injections, tests, and ensure precise documentation while upholding HIPAA and ICD-10/CPT coding standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant with graduation from a recognized program.
• Prior ambulatory health care facility experience preferred.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service.
• CPR certification within first 3 months.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• EPIC EMR familiarity preferred.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect vitals.
• Administer injections and perform EKGs.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and breathing treatments.
• Coordinate lab testing and wound care tasks.
• Dressing changes, hearing and vision tests.

Summary Of Position

A Certified Medical Assistant for the Premier Physician Network will typically see upwards of 30 patients per day, and is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care, under supervision of the Practice Manager and/or center Physicians/Providers.

Our Certified Medical Assistants are an integral part of our offices, and are relied upon to assist in delivering the very best in Patient Experience. Every patient, every time.

Nature and Scope

Independently performed procedures may include, but is not limited to, rooming patients and collecting vitals, pulmonary function tests, administration of injections, EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests, and other duties as assigned. Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills will be an ongoing expectation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate
• Qualified applicants must be a Certified Medical Assistant, and will have graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program.
• Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred
• Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
• Self‑motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of ICD‑10 and CPT coding
