Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey is seeking a Medical Assistant to support two virtual health clinic locations and provide administrative support such as coordinating patient flow, scheduling, and handling messages. This onsite role covers front and back office tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Candidates must have a High School diploma, CMA or RMA eligibility within 90 days, and BLS certification or obtain within 6 months of hire. An Associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet eligibility to sit for exam with CMA or RMA certification within 90 days of employment date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within six months of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple Virtual Health services and assist with administrative functions such as coordinating patient flow, scheduling appointments, handling phone and pool messages, and completing patient intakes and prior authorizations.
• Provide point-of-care testing to support two virtual health clinic locations.
