Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak clearly and understand the English language.
• Preferred successful completion of Medical Assistant School/Program or comparable training within related discipline.
• BLS required at time of hire, or must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• Must meet 1 of the following within 1 year of employment if not completed prior to hire date: Enrollment in program to enhance MA skills: Registered (RMA), Certified (CMA), Certified Clinical MA (CCMA).
• Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
• A minimum of 6 months employment in an ambulatory physician practice setting in the last 3 years preferred.
