UC San Diego Health in San Diego, CA is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support the Multi-Specialty Clinic and oncology service line. Under supervision, you will perform patient care duties, manage equipment and supplies, and help keep the environment clean and safe according to Joint Commission standards.
The role requires a CMA or completion of a Medical Assistant program, BART or BLS with commitment to obtain BART within six months, and 2+ years of MA experience.

Under direct supervision of the manager and the general supervision of the clinic providers and licensed nursing staff, performs work that requires specific knowledge and training in patient care duties within the business and professions code of the State of California and/or the regulations of The Joint Commission (TJC).
These may include environmental care functions, equipment/supply management, and cleaning/disinfecting the environment.
Requires knowledge of medical terminology, online scheduling, universal precautions, sterile technique, procedures, and proper use of body mechanics. The position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands, and the ability to work in a team environment.
This position will serve in the clinic and procedural areas of the Multi-Specialty Clinic and float to other areas within the oncology service line with appropriate orientation.

Annual Full Pay Range: $56,063 - $74,020 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $26.85 - $35.45
